This card provides 1 industry standard 9 pin RS232 serial COM port in a single PCI slot. As PCI is fully Plug & Play compatible the operating system or BIOS automatically configures the card ensuring conflict free installation.

We use these [Brainboxes Serial] adapters in our company (industrial automation, lots of serial stuff); they work as a regular COM port, we’ve never had any issues with them.
