Brainboxes releases 4 port RS232 PCI Express products

December 15, 2008 / News

Brainboxes has released the latest products to its PCI Express
range that was launched earlier this year. These 4 port RS232 cards
come in both a low profile (PX-260) and standard height (PX-701)
option.

Since the introduction of the PCI Express range, we have received
excellent feedback from end users and this has encouraged us to
continue releasing products in this range. Our PCI Express range has
rapidly grown since its introduction and now consists of 14 products
ranging from 1 port to 8 port cards and include RS232, RS422/485 and
LPT options.

All our PCI Express cards, including the new editions to this growing
range add reliable and high-speed connectivity via any standard PCIe
slot (x1, x2, x4, x8 or x16 lane slots). True megabaud line drivers
carry information at 921,600 baud, and 256 byte FIFOs with a user
definable trigger level ensure the highest levels of data integrity,
reducing the likelihood of dropped packets. They also come with
Brainboxes’ acclaimed customer support package, including Lifetime
Warranty & Support, that makes Brainboxes stand out above other
manufacturers and makes us the serial card supplier of choice for
companies around the world.

The Brainboxes ‘PX’ PCIe range benefits from a complete suite of
software included with the cards and an acclaimed lifetime customer
support package – elements that have made Brainboxes the serial card
supplier of choice for companies around the world. Brainboxes PX cards
are compliant with PCIe version 1.0a and supplied software includes
sample programs and test and terminal software, complete with source
code. PX cards incorporate signed drivers for Microsoft Server 2008,
Vista, XP, and Server 2003 in x32 bit x64 bit editions and Windows
2000.
