    Brainboxes Built for Life Warranty

    If your Brainboxes product fails to perform as intended at any point over its serviceable lifetime* then Brainboxes will replace or fix the product free of charge.

    Brainboxes Warranty

    Subject to the terms and conditions set out below, Brainboxes warrants that all Goods will correspond to their specification, at the time of delivery, and will be free from defects in material or workmanship for the period set out below from the date of delivery:

    *Lifetime definition: the SERVICEABLE lifetime of the product

    This is defined as the period, which is the longer of:

    • (a) the period of time Brainboxes continues to manufacturer the product plus five years or
    • (b) the period during which spare parts (components) are generally available for the repair of the product

    Should the product prove to be irreparable within the serviceable life of the product, Brainboxes reserves the right to substitute an equivalent product.
    *To qualify for lifetime warranty, products must be registered within 28 days of purchase online at Lifetime Guarantee Form

    Conditions

    This warranty shall only be valid in respect of goods subject to the following conditions:

    • That such goods have been paid for by the due date.
    • That such goods have not been subject to abnormal working conditions, wilful damage, accident, physical damage, fire, flood, negligence, misuse, alteration or repair of the goods without Brainboxes’ approval, or a failure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
    • That any alleged defect or shortage in delivery is notified to the company within 7 days of delivery or within a reasonable time of discovery of the defect or shortage if not apparent on delivery.

    Return Procedure

    If a product requires repair under warranty, Brainboxes will either repair or replace the product at its sole discretion. If you need to return a product under warranty, please contact Brainboxes support team to request an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorisation). No products will be accepted for return without a valid RMA number. Products must be returned in the original packaging or equivalent packaging, which will protect the product in transit.

    Exclusions

    This warranty does not extend to products which have been subjected to misuse, neglect, accident, fire, flood, physical damage, incorrect wiring not of our doing, improper installation or testing, unauthorized modification, use in violation of instructions furnished by us or repair by an unauthorized third party. In such cases the warranty will be void. This warranty will also be void if the product’s serial number or other identification marks have been defaced, damaged or removed.

    There are certain components which have a finite lifespan. These components are covered up to their typical lifespan. For example the ED-538 contains relays which have a typical lifespan of 100,000 operations (at 2 Amps). The Brainboxes Lifetime Warranty does not cover these relays past their typical lifespan, all other components on the product are covered by the Lifetime Warranty. Further exclusions still apply.

    The Original Purchaser’s rights under this warranty are as expressly provided above. Brainboxes shall not be liable for any losses, costs, expenses or damages whatsoever, other than the repair and/or replacement of the product as provided above, including any loss of profits or other damages resulting directly or indirectly from the failure or defect of the product, save for any liabilities which cannot be disclaimed or limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury resulting from negligence, or liability for death or personal injury or non-commercial property loss or damage resulting from a defective product. The contract formed upon acceptance of this warranty is not a contract for the sale of goods to which the Sale of Goods Act 1979 (U.K.) (or any successor legislation) applies. Your statutory rights are not affected by this warranty or its exclusions.

    Use Limitations, Export Compliance, and Supply Chain Security

    Product Classification (COTS)

    Unless explicitly stated otherwise in a formal product specification, all Brainboxes goods are classified as Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) industrial electronics. They are designed, manufactured, and tested for standard commercial and industrial environments, and are not inherently certified to military or aerospace specifications.

    High-Risk Applications

    Because our products are COTS, customers must request and obtain formal written consent (such as a Letter of Authorisation) by contacting the Brainboxes Sales or Support team before integrating them into any military, aerospace, medical, or life-support equipment, or into any environment where failure could reasonably be expected to result in severe property damage, personal injury, or death. Assessing the applicability, validation, and safety of a Brainboxes product within a specific customer design remains the sole responsibility of the Customer.

    Brainboxes’ Commitment to Compliance

    Brainboxes Limited complies with all applicable UK and international export control laws. Furthermore, Brainboxes holds Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) accreditation from HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC), demonstrating our ongoing commitment to international supply chain security and streamlined, compliant customs procedures.

    Sales outside of the United Kingdom

    While Brainboxes ensures compliance up to the point of delivery, the Original Purchaser (Customer) is strictly responsible for their own compliance with all applicable export and import regulations. Customers shall not use, export, re-export, or resell Brainboxes products, through any channels, for use in the design, development, production, utilization, maintenance, or operation of Weapons of Mass Destruction (including nuclear, chemical, or biological weapons and missiles), conventional weapons, or any items specifically designed for such purposes.
