December 14, 2000 / News

Brainboxes, the leading European designer and manufacturer of PC communications cards, today hailed the Bluetooth Developers Conference, held last week in San Jose, as yet another success in the company’s quest to establish a firm foothold within the wireless communications market.

Our Bluetooth team were on hand throughout the three days to meet with potential partners and customers, as well to demonstrate the Brain Boxes range of Bluetooth hardware and software products which will launch early in 2001. Demonstrations of our Bluetooth PC Card and a glimpse of prototypes of our Type I Compact Flash Bluetooth Card proved particularly successful.

Brain Boxes is a member of the Bluetooth Special Interest Group and has been instrumental in the development of Bluetooth products for the past two years. The new Bluetooth products will be amongst the first in the world to receive Bluetooth accreditation early next year.

Stephen Evans, Marketing Manager for Brain Boxes, said “It is essential that we continue to maintain our high profile within the Bluetooth Arena by continueing to attend tradeshows such as the Bluetooth Developers Conference. Our range of Bluetooth products are proving to be extremely popular, and our software stack is attracting major interest worldwide.”

Brain Boxes will continue building its Bluetooth profile throughout 2001, starting with 2001 International CES to be held in Las Vegas from January 6th to January 9th.
