October 28, 2002 / News

Brainboxes today achieved Federal Communications Commission approval for its Bluetooth CompactFlash Card. The approval means that the device can now be sold to consumers within the United States.

Peter Gray, Brainboxes’ Business Development Manager said, “This further product certification, in this case into the vast US market, continues our inexorable quest to achieve global product approval for our world class bluetooth range.”

The card, Bluetooth-accredited in April 2001, is designed for use with hand held PCs, and enables seamless communication between portable devices including PDAs, laptops and other PCs. Like all Bluetooth products being developed by Brain Boxes, the CompactFlash Card is compatible with Microsoft’s Windows operating systems.
