We are seeking a Brainboxes Compliance & Accreditations Manager to perform the following roles. While it is preferable to have experience in multiple areas, it is not mandatory.

The Role
We are seeking a proactive and organised HSEQ & Compliance Manager to manage and champion our company’s compliance framework.
This is a critical, hands-on role where you will take ownership of our Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety systems, as well as coordinating our product accreditations. You will report to senior management and work closely with all teams to ensure we not only meet our legal and regulatory obligations but also foster a culture of continuous improvement and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Quality & Environmental (ISO 9001/14001)
- Act as the Management Representative for our ISO 9001 (Quality) and ISO 14001 (Environmental) systems.
- Lead all internal and external audits, ensuring successful re-certification.
- Drive continuous improvement by maintaining and updating all QEMS documentation, policies, and procedures.
- Report on system performance and promote awareness of quality and environmental objectives across the company.
Health & Safety
- Champion a positive safety culture, ensuring all employees understand and follow H&S policies.
- Own and maintain the company’s H&S management system in line with current legislation.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments, implementing corrective actions to minimise hazards.
- Manage the compliance calendar and coordinate with external contractors for any building or maintenance work.
Product Accreditations & Compliance
- Serve as the key liaison between Brainboxes’ product development teams and external accreditation/test organisations.
- Manage the certification process for new and existing products to meet international standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all customer enquiries regarding compliance, approvals, and export codes.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a similar compliance-focused role (e.g., HSEQ, Quality Management, or H&S).
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or ISO 14001 standards, ideally with internal or lead auditor training.
- A strong understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation (e.g., IOSH or NEBOSH qualification is highly desirable).
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or technology environment is a plus.
- Hands-on, proactive, and meticulous, with a genuine passion for quality and safety.
