BB LogoEstablished in 1984 Brainboxes designs and manufactures PC add-on cards suitable for mission critical applications. Our product range is focused on RS232, RS422/485, and Bluetooth products, used in point of sale, banking, and general industry.

We moved to our existing premises in Wavertree Technology Park, Liverpool, after winning first prize in the Liverpool Echo Flying Start business competition in 1986. Unusually, all Brainboxes' products are manufactured on site in Liverpool. The company invests substantial funds to ensure that it's manufacturing facility competes with the best in the world. This complete control over the development and manufacturing process enables us to be responsive to increasing customer demands. It also allows us to offer a 'Perfect Fit, Custom Design' service - providing products that perfectly match a customer's application.

Brainboxes also develops the appropriate software drivers, which are compatible with all major operating systems. Brainboxes' customer base includes organisations operating in a number of different markets including leisure, retail, banking, industrial process control, government research agencies, the military and a number of Universities.
